CSA Pickup Reminder Thursday April 25 and Friday April 26

Posted 4/25/2019 9:51am by Jill Rendleman.

Members will enjoy new kale, cutting celery, potatoes from overwintering...not pretty but taste is glorious.....more small romaine lettuce.   Also there will be an asian cabbage...mostly leaves, in your share.  These are best braised over high heat in oil and a little salt for a short period of time.  The cutting celery adds flavor to salads, smoothies, and is great in soups.  If you aren't going to use it for a while, freeze it and use for soups or over noodles.  Yum.

Couple of notes.....be sure to check the name on the box so that you get your share and not someone elses.  Also Return the Boxes each week or as you can.  Cleto my right hand (or maybe its the other way around) will be handling the pickup again this week.  Be sure to smile and tell him thank you......he loves to get out and see customers, but its a bit out of his comfort zone!
